Technology
- Student response systems (SRSs): SRSs combine wireless devices held by students (colloquially known as “clickers”), a wireless receiver attached to the teacher’s computer and a local-install software package, which together allow an instructor to deliver formative instruction and assessment.
- Interactive whiteboards (IWBs): IWBs are wall- or stand-mounted at the front of a classroom and are connected to the teacher's computer and a projector, enabling the instructor to interact with a digital lesson plan using an electromagnetic pen.
- Mobile slates (Slates): Slates are wireless mobile tablets with a stylus enabling the instructor to deliver and interact with electonic lesson plans from any location in the classroom.
- Teacher panels (Panels): Panels are pen or finger touch monitors generally mounted to a podium in the front of a lecture hall to allow an instructor to interact with a digital lesson plan.
Software
- ExamView® Assessment Suite: a test building and reporting software package that allows instructors to create, deliver and report results using instructor authored, publisher and/or other third party questions.
- CPS, PRS, Interwrite Workspace, Interwrite Response: software packages used to operate technology products including SRSs, IWBs, Slates and Panels. Each package interconnects with ExamView.
- REAP: a software package that allows district administrators and principals to review results of formative assessments by school, class, student and demographic when those results are collected with SRSs and the CPS software.
Content
- ExamView® Content: Major publishers have published over 5,000 textbooks containing over 5 million questions in the ExamView format.
- Learning Series: eInstruction has a proprietary library of over 350,000 dynamic questions, each aligned to state standards, that are used by districts, schools and teachers to develop tests that assess students’ progress for grades 3-12 in Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies.
